Hugging this character: Haymitch doesn't have a very good record with people touching him. He's spent most of his life isolating himself, so hugging/kissing/touching of any kind is probably going to get a pretty negative reaction from him unless he knows you very well.

Flirting with this character: He'll probably flirt back, but don't expect more than that at least right off the bat.
Fighting with this character: He might not look like it, but Haymitch is actually a formidable opponent who's got some fighting skill -- but he's still a drunkard. That said, he WILL fight back.
